Bill Richardson (D, NM) is a governor, a diplomat, a former Department of Energy secretary committed to energy independence, a former congressman, a fiscal conservative, a social progressive, and was my first choice for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Unfortunately, that hasn't worked out, but I'll leave this blog--which advocated his candidacy from the time it was announced in early 2007 through the New Hampshire primary--as a tribute to a highly-qualified, inspiring candidate.
